Review: Fairytale Maze 123

Excellent mazes with beautifully drawn fairy tale themes for toddlers, younger children and special needs.

Features of Fairytale Maze 123:

  • 20 well known fairy tales adapted into a series of mazes for children in 15 languages.
  • You must complete the mazes in sequence, so the child starts with the simplest first.
  • Collect things and complete tasks along the way.
  • Great for fine motor skills and hand and eye coordination.
  • Colourful, beautiful illustrations that delight and engage.

Our daughter, aged 4 adores this app. She is familiar with most of the fairy tales and could relate to the characters, although this is not necessary to enjoy the app.

Help out your favourite characters in their personal maze: Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, The Frog Prince, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, Hansel and Gretel, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Rapunzel, Aladdin, Pinocchio, The Pied Piper, The Little Mermaid, Puff the Magic Dragon, Robin Hood, Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast & Peter and the Wolf.

The mazes become increasingly more difficult giving more and more tasks to compete along the way.

I would highly recommend this easy to use app which is a self starter for young children and perfect for special needs learning. Older children may well enjoy this too if they like mazes!

The background music is peaceful and relaxing and there are a few sound effects along the way, both can be turned off in the settings menu.

After they have finished a maze, a colourful picture appears that shows all the characters happily together again, or some other variation of that, after your child has brought them back together by completing the maze!  You receive a star for each maze finished.  Once all the stars have collected on that screen (part of the map) your child can move to the next screen of slightly harder mazes.  There is free choice as to which maze they complete first on each page.

The mazes are well thought out, very creative, and will spark your own child's imagination!

The app is available in many different languages such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, French, Swedish, Spanish, German, Italian, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch and Norwegian.
