Use iPad: As an Address Book

The second law of thermodynamics says that everything keeps getting UNorganised, no matter what you do. That seems to be true of everything, especially with a family-full of things to keep organised! iPad seems to reverse the entropy and keeps things together.

iPad as an Address Book

I never kept an efficient Address Book until iPad came along.

It's difficult to keep things organised.  I think that's because it's a law of the universe.  The second law of thermodynamics says that everything keeps getting UNorganised, no matter what you do.  That seems to be true of everything, especially with a family-full of things to keep organised!  iPad seems to reverse the entropy and keeps things together.

There are several things about iPad Address book that I really like:

iPad keeps whatever information you've got about a contact in one location.

It's easy to add someone to your Contacts App.

If they're there in front of you, take a photo of them. Attach it to your Contact to see their photo wherever they're displayed on your iPad.

iPad also backs up your contact information to iCloud and an online-accessible copy.  If you've got more iOS devices and you're using iCloud, each of them will stay up to date and always have your contacts synced (if you've got iCloud turned on on each device, of course.)

Awesome.

Tap on their eMail address to eMail them.  Send them an iMessage or FaceTime them with one tap.

Share this contact with someone else, easily.

One of the EXCEPTIONAL things about using iPad as an Address Book:

Imagine being able to say to your device "What's My Grandfather's address?" and it will show it to you?  With iPad and Siri you can!

I absolutely love it.  I just asked Siri as a test and realised that not only does she show me their address, but when I tap on the address it takes me to a Map and I can see their house on a satellite image as if from space.

It's seriously science fiction stuff!

If you haven't yet begun to utilise the Address Book of iPad, now's the time!
